Bibliotheque Nationale

We just got back from Paris earlier this week and oh what an adventure it was.  One of our first printmaking field trips was at the National Library, in a private room, by appointment only.  It was fancy.  We walked in and found ourselves surrounded by boxes and books of hand pulled prints from the beginning of printmaking.  Which is a very cool thing.  The curator brought out a bunch of works and let us get our noses right up on them and stare and drool accordingly.  Well, maybe not the drooling, since that would have landed us in print jail, but it was drool worthy.
