School is nearing an end. While I've been trying to get everything together for my thesis show, I've also been learning my way through the screen print process. I find this to be the most addictive of printmaking processes. Layer and after you watch your image build up. In my case, I started drawing birds. I would do ten or more layers of hand drawn color separations until I was happy with my little friends. When I pack up for the summer in a week or so, I'll be antsy to get back to screen printing. It's funny, I put off taking this class because I was so focused on other mediums. Who knew I'd love it so much?

Draw Draw Draw
I've been back in the States for a week and have resorted to the drawing pad to relive memories from France. I'll be putting some drawings up as I go in a little pop-up shop too! Each pencil drawing will start off on sale for $25. The one I was working on above is already up in the shop here. Hopefully I will get more and more drawings up there and my little French sketches can be spread out in people's homes all over. Surely I can't be the only francophile, right? If so, I am happy to wallpaper my own walls with images from my French adventure.

Sketchbook Peek
While I've been here in France I've been taking a travel portfolio drawing class. Once or twice a week we grab our sketchbooks and go on an adventure. We've seen ruins, forests, architecture, and lots of other interesting aspects of this area. Here are a few pages out of my sketchbook. I've been doing my quick sketches with Sharpie.
